Job Description:

 

A. Banks Gallery is immediately seeking a part-time Gallery Assistant for 15-20 hours a week.

 

Responsibilities:


The Gallery Assistant will function as a sales associate and will be responsible for day-to-day operation of the gallery, including working the sales floor and corresponding with customers on the phone and with e-mail.

Additional responsibilities include completing daily cleaning duties, organizing and maintaining gallery inventory, and providing excellent customer service.

 

 

Qualifications:


-Must have a flexible schedule; will have to work weekends, and holidays as required.

-The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated, and independent; someone who can work well without direct supervision.

-An arts background or interest in arts is highly preferred. Experience with custom framing preferred, but not required.

-Must possess the ability to close sales and meet sales goals. Previous sales experience is not required, but preferred.

-Must be responsible and personable; a great people person, with strong written and verbal communication skills. -Professional dress is required.

-Must be able to comfortably lift 50lbs, stand on ladders, and complete cleaning duties adequately.
