We are excited to announce the first of our live paintings for the summer will take place on July 10th and 11th with renowned wildlife artist Jim Bortz! Whether you've been following him for years or are just hearing about him now, be sure to take some time to stop by the gallery and learn about this remarkable painter.
A little about Jim:
An lifelong outdoorsman, painter Jim Bortz relates experiences in the field through his art. With a bold impressionistic style built on a foundation of solid drawing skills, Bortz's work strikes a balance of honest believability and a contemporary palette. Jim makes his home in Cody, Wyoming near the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park where he has access to all the subjects he loves to paint. Exploring the wild places of the Rocky Mountain West provides endless inspiration.
His work has appeared in the Buffalo Bill Art Show and has been regularly included in the Birds In Art exhibit. The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum has several pieces in their permanent collection. Bortz's work has also been featured in Sporting Classics and Fine Art Connoisseur magazines.
